HELP US COLLECT ATLANTIC BLUEFIN TUNA DATA!
Do you fish for bluefin? While we are only getting started, we have already begun our research efforts on the water. Currently we are running a Tissue Sampling Pilot Project to build an independent DNA bank to inform future management. We are also encouraging the deployment of tags via the Tag A Tiny tagging program. As we grow we will have other cooperative research opportunities, as well. If you are interested in getting your hands wet and helping us understand Atlantic bluefin tuna better—please fill out the form below!

EDUCATION
Given their wide range, Atlantic bluefin tuna are managed primarily by the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT). There are currently 52 Contracting Parties. ICCAT sets national quotas and facilitates much of the assessment science for bluefin and the other ICCAT-managed fish species.
Domestically, Atlantic bluefin tuna are managed by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), an agency within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
